Been prevalaged to be part of NYU family and gain access to this flag ship library.Many seating options, comfortable chairs and huge tables.The reading areas faces Washington square with lot of natural light.There are several vending machines and microwaves in the basement in a lounge area.

While access isn't open to the public, the Friends of Bobst program offers worthwhile membership benefits, making it a valuable investment for anyone seeking an exceptional library experience.

Elitist that it's not open to the public or at least students from other schools... Other schools don't do that

Really gorgeous atrium, worth a jaw-dropping look if you’re in the area. Unfortunately, access is quite limited if you’re not a student at NYU or CUNY, and there is a lot of security making sure you don’t go in. It’s a huge privilege to have access to this library. I go to UCLA and our libraries are open to the public for people to walk around, I wish it were the same for this place. Although I’m sure students are grateful for their study space not being turned into a tourist playground. Maybe let students for other universities have access to this wonderful place? Not to check out books of course, but to be able to walk and admire the sacredness of a really good, beautiful library as one does. I think you can enter on a tour or something (but it’s too expensive (upwards of $35). Maybe it’s worth it, can’t speak to the experience, ask a student.

one of the most awe-inspiring libraries in North America! definitely the greatest I have been into. the large central atrium is just so magnificently humbling. the ground floor mosaic pattern is mesmerizing. 8th floor views are spectacular. its also very clean and quiet. large desks with mostly accessible outlets. one of a kind library. I don't know what else to give than 5
