This place is doing some strange things. I have not been able to contact my relative in 3 weeks. I just called again. The woman that answered the phone said my relative has just eaten & doesn't want to get up. My relative is ALWAYS happy to hear for the outside world. I asked for the person's name & how to spell it. The woman hung up. I am in a different state & cannot drive. (I'm 72 years old). Can someone please tell me who are the proper authorities to contact to check on my relative.

Since I was a young teenager, I knew older members of my churches who went to live at the Wartburg. To a person, their experiences were very positive. I have visited there a number of times -- to visit a resident, to attend a meeting, to participate in a program, and more! All of my experiences have been most positive. I have only good things to say about their whole operation.

Have done an awful job with caring for my grandmother. Incorrectly inserted and dirty Foleys, allowed her to fall multiple times in one week by not supervising her, cuts and bruises and poorly managed bandaging every week. Do not leave family here, staff does the bare minimum.

My grandmother has been here for less than a year and she has already had 2 "unwitnessed" falls. She was in the hospital last week for breaking her arm and not even a few days after her return back to wartburg she had another "unwitnessed" fall and is now back in the hospital again. Would suggest looking elsewhere for the care of your loved ones as this has been a huge upsetting ordeal for my family. This should NEVER had happened.
