Incredible experience for my 8 y.o. a total beginner, and we will be coming here for lessons for a while. They took care of her, introduced her to the horse, made her feel comfortable and confident. The staff was incredibly nice - very focused on teaching her, and keeping her safe. i can see how some other people might have felt they were rude since the priority is to keep the kids and horses calm and they can be brusque with bored grownups making too much noise - much better than having a horse get spooked or anything unexpected happen. Lynne's is very professional and a great experience. my daughter loved her experience at Lynne's and this is where we'll be going for lessons for a while.

Reviews are not my thing. But my continued experience here prompted me to write one. This place is brilliant! I really wanted to learn to ride properly, not just jump on a horse, trail ride and jump off.Lynne is such an amazing teacher. She provides brilliant foundation training and is excellent in her instruction. She is very patient, kind and gentle with the horses and people, as all the staff I have encountered there. I cannot recommend this riding school more highly. As a bonus, it's easily accessible by public transport - doesn't get much better than that in NYC!!

a couple of years ago I wrote a review bashing the quality of the care at Lynne's. I was recently invited to stop by, unannounced at anytime to see how the care of the horses has been upgraded. today i made an unannounced visit & was given a tour of the stable. I have to admit, I was impressed by the upgrade in care & the overall appearance of the stable The horses seemed very well cared for & the stalls & barn area were in excellent shape. The horses stalls were all very clean & well bedded with shavings. It seems that the stable has gone through a lot of positive changes and upgrades in both horse care & maintenance. I give strong props to Lynne's Riding School for making all of these great changes. I have no problem now recommending Lynne's to anyone looking to ride there or take lessons.Kenneth Lee

Lynne's is closed now, but GallopNYC has purchased the stable and will continue to offer recreational riding lessons as well as their Therapeutic Programs.
