My dog, Blue, LOVES Happy Dogs!! He does 2-3 days a week while I’m in the office and I can trust he always safe, having fun and getting good exercise. The live cams are an added layer of fun, I can check in see what he is doing. Their notes on his eating and bathroom schedule throughout the day are helpful as well. If you live in Williamsburg I recommend sending your dog here!

Glad to have my pup back at Happy Dogs! I was worried that my dog would be nervous and not enjoy being at daycare due to his anxiety but he loves being at daycare and it has relieved some of his anxiety issues! better! I love being able to check in on him via the camera system and the member site to make reservations, check in/out, and payments is so convenient! The on-site staff and the office staff are amazing! Quick communication via email or call for any questions! You can tell the on-site staff cares for the dogs and is very cautious of the dog’s safety and well being! Also keeps a watchful eye to clean up messes immediately! No smelly dog after daycare!

This was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. We trusted this place to take care of our dog while we were on vacation abroad, and they completely ruined our trip. They contacted us and demanded that we come back immediately to pick up our dog, despite knowing we were out of the country. Their lack of professionalism, compassion, and responsibility is appalling. We were left scrambling, trying to make arrangements from miles away, which added unnecessary stress to what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. It’s clear they have no business caring for pets if they can’t handle the basic commitment of doing their job. Avoid this place at all costs if you value your peace of mind and your pet’s well-being!

My dog loves it here! She always comes back happy and exhausted in the best way possible. I really appreciate that they allow the dogs to play, but don’t let them get too wild- her play behavior at the dog park has improved immensely since we started bringing her to Happy Dogs. Highly recommend!

We have been excited to bring our pup to Happy Dogs but we won’t be coming back.

After two single day visits, our dog now refuses to walk by the south side of 12th street. She puts on the breaks as we approach Happy Dogs, whines, and refuses to go by. If I am successful at getting her to walk past the front door, her tail goes between her legs, she gets low to the ground, and starts to run.

Juxtapose this to her vet where stands at the front door, tail wagging, waiting to be let in – even when no one is there.

To be fair, I did not catch any evidence of abuse on camera and my dog did not show any marks of physical harm the two times I picked her up. However, it’s very clear my dog is afraid of Happy Dogs.

Highly recommend NYC Pet Services! I boarded my two dogs – my little senior Shih Tzu and my energetic Doodle rescue puppy – for four nights for the first time. I received frequent photo updates each day and the team was incredibly communicative. The team even gave them both a bath before pickup. My dogs been snoozing since getting home – a tired dog is a happy dog! I’ll definitely be using their boarding and daycare services in the future!

NYC Pet Services is the best daycare and boarding a pet parent could ask for. We had to leave our six month old puppy for the first time, and he had such a blast at boarding – receiving updates and photos multiple times each day made me feel so much less anxious, and I was so happy to see he was having such a good time.

Grooming Review !

I’ve had my labradoodle for two years now and I’ve tried two other groomers in Astoria in the beginning and by far Jenn (@itsgroomsbyjenn) has been the BEST ! When she switched locations we had to follow her to her new spot. Not only does Jenn listen to how you want your fur baby’s cut, she is also the sweetest person I’ve met. I have never left disappointed after a cut, it has always been perfect. Even when I tell her not to cut the tip of my dogs tail “fur” she listens (white tip on tail). I can easily trust her by leaving my little one with her. If I can give more than 5 stars I would !

Most affordable daycare in Astoria and worth it! They even plan a schedule like a child daycare! Staff sends photos and gives important updates on those days/times that you can’t be with your pup. In July we went for our vacation to Canada and America, while visiting NYC with our dog we were looking for daycare. City Tails NYC responded quick on our request by email.

The staff is amazing – Joel and his team send regular updates to us and really care about our dogs (we’ll often run into Joel and his staff on the street and both of our dogs will get incredibly excited when they see someone from City Tails). I cannot say enough wonderful things about Joel and his entire staff. Not only are they always willing and able to work with my unpredictable schedule, they also always put me at ease when I leave my dog here knowing she is in the absolute best care as if my dog was their own. I have been taking my dog to City Tails for day care and overnight boarding for several years now and the only thing I have to worry about is if my dog wants to come back home with me! I have a Border Collie / Aussie mix (read a HIGH energy handful) and the staff is constantly engaged, providing many daily updates, photos, and videos during her stays. The dogs are taken out often and get ample socialization with, not only the other dogs, but with the staff too. This is not always the case at other at other facilities in the city, or out of the city for that matter. I just recently had to board my dog for an almost 2 month stay and I would never think twice about boarding my dog anywhere else after such a positive and stress free experience. Joel and his staff truly love what they do and it shows in how they care for all the dogs that are under their care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

After being called back to in-person work much earlier than expected during the pandemic last winter, we were so incredibly lucky to find Joel & the City Tails NYC crew. Zephyr attended 3-5 days/week throughout the winter & spring, and boarded for three nights in June. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff and environment at City Tails NYC. In a city where family-owned and neighborhood businesses seem to be disappearing, City Tails makes owners and dogs feel like they are a part of the family. I received several photos and videos each day of Zephyr at day care, as well as updates on his mood/behavior. He could not WAIT to go each day which, given that he has some pandemic-puppy attachment issues, is truly saying something. If you’re looking for a safe place for your pup where he or she will be cared for and comfortable, look no further than this amazing business.

I cannot recommend Camp Canine highly enough! It is the first (and only) daycare my dog has ever been to, and she loves it. They have so many great add-on activities (including walks in Central Park), which make Camp Canine extra special. The staff are all very friendly and helpful—I also appreciate how easy it is to communicate with them via email. If you’re looking for a great daycare for your dog, send them to Camp Canine!

I’ve been taking my dog to camp canine since he was 5 months old. It was a fantastic socialization experience when he was a puppy and he grew to absolutely love it! It’s been 2.5 years now and he still goes and knows “camp canine” by name. The staff here are so friendly and recognize and greet my dog by name every time he comes! Amanda is the absolute best and treats my dog like an absolute king – will even personally send me photos when he’s there – my dog adores her! The owner Mike is so responsive and truly cares for all of the dogs. Brenda is so caring and sweet with my pup and all of his friends! Lena and Aria are always very responsive and friendly when I call or am dropping off and Lynn goes out of her way to find a spot for my pup when he needs a bath or grooming. Speaking of grooming, I cannot recommend Kathy enough for doodles – she just nails it! I am so grateful to have Camp Canine in the neighborhood and always know my dog is getting the most attention and love when he’s there. Highly recommend!

I was deeply disappointed with our experience at Camp Canine. We were interested in boarding our puppy, but the process was far from satisfactory. Before you are able to board your dog, you must have them pass a test day.

Upon arrival for our test day, we were met with minimal explanation about their procedures. Instead of a proper tour, they abruptly took our puppy from us, which was distressing, especially since she had just been nipped at by another dog in the lobby—a situation that the staff did not address.

When we attempted to see the boarding area, we were quickly shooed away by staff and asked to leave. The brief glimpse we got of the kennels was unsettling—metal crates stacked on top of each other with no bedding, in a harshly lit room.

At pickup, we were informed that our puppy had «failed» her test due to poor social skills, which was surprising and uncharacteristic of her behavior. She has always been playful and affectionate, and we’ve never witnessed the issues they claimed. Moreover, we were pushed to speak to a manager who had a shortlist of trainers we needed to consult before trying another test stay. It felt like we were being upsold, and that having us sign up with one of their preferred trainers was the entire point of the day.

We received no information on if our puppy had eaten, gone for a walk, or gone potty.

We decided to use Rover instead and found a much more caring and accommodating sitter for our pup. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Camp Canine and would suggest exploring other options for your pet’s boarding needs.

Having to leave your four legged best friend to be boarded for the first time is never easy especially if your furry friend has severe separation anxiety (he wasn’t invited on the vacation) so I looked into several places for Teddy to stay at and found there was only one place I could trust my favorite boy with and that was Camp Canine.

Teddy (a 3.5 year old Goldendoodle) had been there before for daycare and grooming and always seemed happy compared to other places. So I dropped him off and he didn’t even turn around and cry because he knew he was going to have fun. The only one with tears was me.

They went above and beyond to reassure me that he was in good hands. I received daily emails on how he was doing and even providing pictures. Knowing he wasn’t anxious allowed me to extend my trip which was such a gift.

Their entire staff is dedicated, sweet and caring. I also have to mention that the facility is so big that Teddy had room to do his daily zoomies. It is also extremely clean. That was really important to me because the other places I looked into were not clean and I was not comfortable leaving him in a place like that.

When I picked him up he came running down the hall with a huge smile and when we got home he slept for 26 hours. He definitely had the time of his life and I am sure can’t wait to go back.

Overall a huge success and a big thanks to the entire family at Camp Canine!

Finding a trustworthy dog boarding facility in NYC’s Chelsea neighborhood felt daunting, but this place made it easy. From my first visit, the friendly staff reassured me that my doggo was in the best hands. They’re attentive, professional, and clearly cared about my dog’s individual needs.

A special shoutout to Sade, who took the time to get to know my dog’s personality and made it comfortable for me to leave him. Mabel, our chocolate lab really loves it here. After her sister passed away this year she was extremely depressed. We started bringing her for just 1/2 days visits to see if the interactions would help. She came home happy and exhausted. Mabel tends to be more of a people person but at playground pups she happily plays about with both humans and poochies!

Since our initial visits, we have graduated to full play days and boarding.

The staff is also quick to inform you of any issues. Mabel started an UTI when she boarded last (she has an inverted hoohaa since birth and vets are surprised she does not get more UTI’s to be honest) The staff wasted no time contacting us and asking us if we wanted them to quickly run her to the vet. They had her there, tested, back and started medication very quickly. We were so thankful! By the time we picked her up a few days later we could tell she was well loved, and on the mend.

As a dog mom I am always happy when I find a place that makes my poochie happy and when I travel I trust she is getting a good boarding experience also. Mabel gets so excited when we walk towards Playground Pups, and when we make the turn on Amsterdam – she knows it is going to be a good time for her.

So grateful for this place. We had to run from Florida to get away from hurricane Irma. I have a 10yr old min pin who ous also blind. Taking him to or hotel was not an option so we found this place. We have been coming here for a couple of years, last 2 times were terrible . 1st time when they shaved the dog I let it slide thinking that it was our fault as we haven’t been brushing him enough. Second time, today the dog was very stressed going in. They told us he was matted in only a few spots , but when we picked him up he was completely shaved and had cuts. They also lied saying that they told us he was matted all over, which wasn’t true. Just lazy and unprofessional. Not coming back, overpriced, unprofessional and tons of attitude.

We feel so lucky to live so close to Dog Days! Not only is it close to us, our puppy LOVES it and our vet loves it too! We started coming here after we saw how much fun our pup had during her social hour with Amanda Gagnon Dog Training on Sundays (they rent the space for an hour), so we decided to check it out for daycare and we’re so glad we did. I started visiting Dog Days of New York, as Anna the groomer has been taking care of my dog, Finn, since he was a puppy. She is absolutely fantastic, caring and takes her time with him. It’s a great place with a wonderful staff of caring dog lovers. Anna the groomer is just wonderful. Our dog can be a little skittish but somehow Anna works her magic and calms her down for her monthly mani/pedi.
So lucky to have them in the neighborhood!

We were long time customers of Dog Days with our dog, Zizou. Zizou had a little anxiety, lot of personality, and even more opinions. Dean, Cory, Jackie, Mattias, and the whole staff were always so wonderful to her. They were also really flexible with schedules which I will be eternally grateful for. When we are ready for our next pup, I won’t hesitate to take them to Dog Days.

The folks at All Dogs in the City are second family to us. My sweet boy is now 3 and has spent his time, since he was a few months old, getting to know new friends and becoming comfortable with water which is a treat for any city dog. They celebrate birthdays and holidays with parties, souvenir photo sessions with parents, and many other interactive activities. All Dogs treat us like family and care for all the dogs as if their own. They’ve always been responsive to any inquiries and always have safety at the forefront. I have boarded my boy with them for as long as two weeks and wouldn’t trust anyone else with him. My boy loves going to All Dogs, he genuinely adores all the staff and doesn’t look back once when he leaves us which really is reassuring. I’ve always said we are lucky to have All Dogs in our community. I wouldn’t send him anywhere else, period! I only trust All Dogs in the City with my boy. They’re the absolute best.

Took my pup here for the very first time and he loved it! The staff has an amazing caring team to tend to the dogs. The place is clean and the space is huge! Definitely coming back here for more daycare services! I highly recommend All dogs in the City to anyone that wants their dog to have a fun time every time they bring their dog here !

Boarding services are excellent as well! They took very well care of my pup while my partner and I went on vacation. They kept us up to date with pictures and they also show the dogs on instagram which is a plus. We are very pleased with the staff you can tell they genuinely care for the dogs we are so happy we found this place. And we are glad to know that this is considered a home away from home for our fur baby.

Literally one of the best doggy day cares in the neighborhood! They offer so many things from Pick up/drop off, swimming and one on one care. The staff is the best and they constantly play with the dogs and ensure they are never alone. There is also an outdoor turf area for the dogs upstairs as well as a indoor play area.

My dog comes home so tired and always sleeps like a baby after day care. Truly the best, and would 1000% recommend!!!!

If you want your dog well taken care of and loved please contact Francisco and his team. I recently had an emergency and needed help with my mom’s dog. I desperately called looking for help and Francisco paired me with one of his coworkers to help me in my situation to take care of my mom’s dog. I received updates of the dogs well being and he even help to train the dog as well. I was going thru a tough time but knowing the love and care my mom’s dog received reassured me that everything is going to work out. I finally received the dog today and I feel like we have a better dog who is well mannered, happier yet calm. I truly appreciate Francisco and his team. Highly recommend this doggy daycare.

NY tails is great for walking! Our yorkie Zoe absolutely adores her walker Camila. Booking is easy through the app and Camila or the other walkers are communicative every day. The policies can feel like you’re being nickel and dimed at times but to be fair they are very clear on the website. Would highly recommend NY tails

I love NY Tails I send my dog Blue there for boarding anytime I go out of town, and they do an amazing job with all their dogs. I can see the excitement rise with Blue as we get closer to their location because he loves it there. Their updates on their Instagram stories are so fun to follow along with, and the backyard is really nice. Blue always comes home from boarding absolutely pooped from all the play with other dogs which is great. I trust them completely, and so glad I found them for my pup. Highly recommend for anyone!

NY Tails is fantastic! They really care about the dogs and our dog loves being there. As soon as his special collar goes on, he knows he’s going to Tails and pulls us the whole way there. We also love that they have a private outdoor space so the dogs are able to get some fresh air and sunshine, weather permitting.

NY Tails has been reliable in providing visits for my cat for almost a year now. The employees who stop by tend to send pictures of my cat in a group chat when they visit (every pet owner’s favorite) and provide a brief status update. I feel comfortable going away knowing someone is checking up on her.

There was an issue with the NY Tails payment portal where the total charge it stated for requested services was not matching the amount I was actually being invoiced which was greater in several cases. Upon flagging this, Jessica, one of the coordinators, was exceedingly responsive and helpful in addressing the concern. The payment portal has now been updated to reflect accurate pricing details. I really appreciated how receptive NY Tails was to my feedback and how quick the team was to address it. Great customer service!

It’s worth taking note of the website to be aware of additional charges that may be applied for early/late and weekend visits. These are very clearly stated on the website, but don’t appear on the payment portal/may not be factored into final pricing. It’s also worth noting that, at least for cat visits, visit times are structured within a 4-hour timeframe (to allow flexibility for the person visiting to work the visit into their schedule). The 4-hour time period begins 2 hours before and ends 2 hours after the time you select for the visit within the payment portal (Dotimely). For instance, if you select 9am, the person visiting may come any time between 7-11am. This isn’t very clearly stated, so it’s worth taking note of this to avoid any charges that apply for visits before 9am and after 6pm.
