New York Dog Spa - 25th Street is the most incredible place for my (dog) baby, Molly. It all starts with Audrey, the amazing manager, who is not only kind and loving to Molly but goes above and beyond to be sure that the Dog Spa is SO much more than "a place to leave my dog" - it is Molly's home away from home! Audrey and all of the staff and handlers are kind, knowledgeable, careful, fun and engaged, and the dogs they have Molly paired with are the perfect dogs to ensure that she has the best time and is safe. And they are always doing special activities with and giving so much TLC to the dogs! Because of this, I feel beyond comfortable having Molly there for doggy day care, as well as for boarding and grooming - it is the only place that I will take Molly for all of these services. And the best indication of what a fabulous place it is is how Molly runs to get there and, at times, wants to stay when I go to pick her up! Molly's excitement at seeing Audrey and the other staff when we come in the door warms my heart. I am so grateful for our New York Dog Spa family!!!

I used to visit this salon and get my Pomeranian groomed with Ink. Now she doesn't work there anymore and I got recommended by the front desk groomer named Alex.I showed the groomer my reference pictures (which were photos of my dog groomed previously with Ink). My dog's hair was cut absolutely in a horrible way. Nothing like the photos I showed AT ALL. It was extremely short and looked like a typical Instagram teddy bear cut. Every responsible Pomeranian owner knows that Poms shouldn't be cut too short, they can get alopecia. They are double-coated dogs and the groomer MUST know how to work with this kind of hair. I’ve been crying for several days already. My dog’s coat is completely RUINED. It’s uneven, it’s too short, it doesn't look professionally done at all.I sent photos of now and what I asked for to the salon on the same day and they didn't respond! Customer service is absent! I want to speak with the supervisor, I would like to know WHY they think it's okay to ignore their client's concerns and WHY they think it's okay for the groomer to do such a horrible job. You need to be blind not to see how bad it is! Why did you cut my dog’s coat in such a malicious way? That's completely not what I asked for. Needless to say it's harmful to her coat.STAY AWAY from this salon if you're a responsible Pom owner. I can't look at my dog without tears now. What did you do??

we chose to board our 6 month old puppy here in a desperate pinch after a sitter late cancelled. i should’ve known by the smell and appearance of the showroom when i walked in that the experience would be a nightmare. 1) they make you do a trial before boarding to make sure the dog is suitable, which is reasonable, except that they charge you a full $150 day pass for a maybe 1 hour test visit. 2) when we got home from the test we realized that they had taken off our dog’s collar and forgotten to put it back on, and made us come back to pick it up without offering an alternative (unnecessarily running across the city - every NYers favorite pastime). 3) when we picked our dog up from the overnight a few days later, her eyes were terribly goopy and she couldn’t run out of the store fast enough to diarrhea on the sidewalk (she had never had diarrhea until his point). after hundreds of dollars of subsequent vet visits, she was diagnosed with giardia AND pink eye after just a 2 night stay. no wonder they offer vet services in house - great business model! 4) we were also promised a report card that never came at the end of either of the two visits. 5) they also tell you to pack extra food servings in case your trip gets inadvertently extended, which is again reasonable, except that they don’t give you that food back at the end (and sneakily advertise on their site that they can charge you to feed dogs with food in-house, which in hindsight presumably comes from the extra food they steal from their customers through their misleading instructions).genuinely can’t say enough bad things about our experience here and going forward will avoid it like the plague, which apparently runs rampant there too…

My dog, Berkeley absolutely loves it here. The staff is so nice and so attentive. We are always greeted by name and with a smile. Whenever I go out of town I am provided with many updates on my pup. This is such a great spot to leave your dog for a day or a vacation. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.
