The Village Underground is the best comedy club in the world. I’ve been to many, and hands down The Village wins. I ALWAYS have a good time, I’ve been at least four or five times with friends and each time is a real pleasure. They pick the best comics to come on stage! Enjoy the extra attention if you’re in the front row. The staff at the entrance and inside are good people, kind, the comics are creative and really really funny, the show host is always a pleasure and engages the audience, the food is good, drinks are great, and my favorite: The Pianist and Drummer - it all comes together for a great, great night out! Make sure to make reservations in advance and be present early, bundle up if it’s cold! All the food nearby is great too! My fav is Joe’s pizza (cash only)! If you see Shannon at the front door welcoming you, say hi! She’s a sweet heart and loves seaweed snacks!

Amazing comedy! Mediocre food and drinks. The classics are good- mozzarella sticks, fries and chicken wings.The sliders were dry even with the extra cheese. Skewers were also mid at best.Stick to the basics and alcohol. Comedy more than makes up for the mediocre food.No photos because phones aren’t allowed.

What a great time and an awesome environment. Love the concept of going into the show and having your phone locked up so all you can do is focus on the show and laugh. Tickets are cheap and drinks were all great. We got to see 5 great comedians. The MC was hysterical. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting NYC!

I’ve been here close to a dozen times over the past 4 years and I’ve never been disappointed, ever! I’ve seen the show from almost every every angle and it’s difficult to have a bad seat in the house. Last night we sat directly next to the piano looking out into the crowd, and it didn’t effect our experience one bit. Other than 1 comedian who I’ve seen do the same skit twice (understandably so), it’s always fresh and new material. My favorite thing to do in the city!
